Product Developer (Furniture)

• Develop new products from the concept stage to mass production, ensuring technical and cost feasibility.

• Research, analyze, and propose suitable materials (wood, veneer, metal, upholstery, concrete, finishing, etc.).

• Design optimal product structures for durability, safety, and manufacturability.

• Work directly with international clients to understand concepts, quality requirements, and timelines.

• Collaborate with the engineering, QC, prototyping, and production departments to create Bill of Materials (BOM), spec sheets, and material specifications.

• Evaluate prototypes and propose improvements in quality, functionality, and cost.

• Monitor product development progress and address issues arising during trial production.

• Update and apply US/EU/UK market quality standards: finish level, moisture, stability, safety test…

• Research product trends, new materials, and manufacturing technologies to propose development directions.

• College/University degree in Interior Design, Wood Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Technology, or related fields.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the furniture industry as a Product Developer or Engineer.

• Understanding of product structure and construction, material properties, and limitations in actual production.

• Preference will be given to candidates with in-depth experience in: wood, upholstery, concrete, metal, and finishing.

• Fluent English, sufficient for direct communication with international clients via email and online meetings.

• Understanding of international quality standards: ASTM, BIFMA, CA Prop 65, REACH, EUDR, UK Fire Regulation…

• Proficient in reading and analyzing technical drawings (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SketchUp…).

• Strong teamwork, schedule management, and problem-solving skills.
