Production Assistant Manager

The Production Assistant Manager supports the Production Manager in planning, organizing, and supervising production operations to ensure efficiency, safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness. This role involves coordinating teams, monitoring production processes, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Management

• Assist in planning and executing daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.

• Ensure production targets (output, quality, efficiency) are achieved on time.

• Monitor workflow, resource allocation, and resolve operational issues.

2. Quality & Compliance

• Enforce compliance with company quality standards, ISO, and safety regulations.

• Monitor product quality and coordinate with QA/QC to resolve deviations.

• Support implementation of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

3. People Management

• Supervise, guide, and support production team leaders and operators.

• Provide training and coaching to improve skills and productivity.

• Foster teamwork, discipline, and adherence to company policies.

4. Cost Control & Efficiency

• Monitor and optimize material usage to reduce waste.

• Control production costs, labor efficiency, and downtime.

• Support preparation of production reports and KPI tracking.

5. Coordination & Reporting

• Collaborate with other departments (Maintenance, Planning, Supply Chain, QA) to ensure smooth operations.

• Prepare regular reports on production performance, incidents, and improvement actions.

• Assist the Production Manager in CAPEX proposals and investment analysis.

• Chemical engineering’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field.

• At least 5 years of experience in production operations, with 2 years in a supervisory role.

• Strong knowledge of production planning, lean manufacturing, and quality management systems.

• Good leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Proficient in MS Office; SAP/ERP knowledge is an advantage.

• Strong communication skills in English and Vietnamese.
