Production Manager

Business Title: Manager, Production

Work Location: VSIP1 (HCMC, formerly Binh Duong).

BASIC FUNCTION OF THE JOB:

The Production Manager will provide end-to-end production management leadership across assembly processes, industrialization, and high-volume manufacturing transfers. Strong background in planning and executing production ramp-up for high-volume, high-precision products. Skilled in risk mitigation, yield improvement, and scrap reduction during rapid scale-up. Experience in hiring and training a workforce of hundreds of employees within tight timelines.

1. Production Management

• Manage and deploy resources (human, machinery, materials, energy) efficiently to meet the production schedule.

• Deliver products/services committed to the internal or external customers at the right time, cost, quality, and responsiveness to support their plans

• Submit budget, control the performance to ensure the budget (headcount, productivity, overtime, absenteeism & expense) is met

• Leadership responsibility for strategic and tactical

manufacturing planning, quality improvement, cost

reductions, productivity, and process improvements,

equipment and automation development and growth

and profitability

• Lead production team to review forecast and sales order on ERP to plan for short- and long-term consumable, tooling and headcount.

• Support facility upgrade and layout change to be suitable for short- and long-term operation

2. Quality Control & Production Support

• Understand sufficiently and correctly products requirements.

• Compliance with the quality control plan, system from end-to-end process to ensure product quality meets customer requirements

• Investigate to support responding quickly and accurately, effectively to customers

• QMS Compliance.

• Provide coaching and training to the team for solving problems on time and select right solution

3. Supervision, Management and Leadership

• Ensure your team is staffed, motivated, inspired, engaged, and empowered to deliver a high and sustainable performance level in an ever-changing environment at a cost level the organization can sustain and reflects market realities.

• Ensure you have the right people in the right jobs by consistently using proper interview and selection techniques and methodologies throughout your organization.

• Ensure a learning environment is in place and your team is trained and developed to consistently achieve your organization’s expectations in both the short and long terms.

• Ensure the performance management is fully operating with meaningful stretch goals for all employees in your organization, that feedback is ongoing and focused on development and is delivered with 100% On Time Delivery.

• Ensure a free flow of two-way information for your organization to work effectively and communication channels are active and open.

Educational background: Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following engineering majors: Mechanical, Electrical, Material Science, or relevant majors.

Experience:

• Minimum 8 years of related experience.

• At least 3+ years in managerial/leadership roles.

Abilities:

• Goal setting

• General knowledge of SPC. Emphasis is placed on DOE.

• Ability to lead the Lean, Six Sigma projects.

• Ability to solve problems in a timely and quality manner

• Able to execute plans, motivate and engage the workforce, evaluate work accomplishments, and provide effective feedback

• Set a high standard of ethics, professionalism, leadership, and competency

• Experience in process improvement, troubleshooting and equipment management.

• Hands-on and very direct approach to

problems and needs of production demand.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

and presentation skills
