Production Planner

- Responsible for all activities related to production planning.

- Driving the capacity of production lines to ensure the best optimization which meets Demand requirements and Plant performance

- Evaluating material supply plan and weekly demand to identify gaps in service as to develop a suitable weekly production plan

- Converting into a daily production schedule based on the best balance between the Production Plan and Customer Orders to ensure customer satisfaction and plant efficiency

- Proactively adjust/revise production plan and schedule to cope with materials shortage and overage based on principles and guidelines most effectively

- Ensure all transactions related to planning processes in SAP are performed correctly and timely

- Closely work with the Supply Planner to ensure materials availability to cover production demand and maintain inventory within the target levels and the allowed deviation against the forecast

- Determine the movement of FGs inventory (ABC analysis) to ensure the production plan of each item is in line with monthly PMS and target inventory levels

- Calculate and confirm the deviation factors of material consumptions for each quarter

- Calculate and confirm the suitable material available date for each item in the order book to satisfy business needs and internal/external customer’s request

- Monitor production orders status, review production performance to ensure timely delivery, flag any backlog quantity, work out the root cause, and solve problems quickly

- Regularly interact with the Production team to assist production output adherence to plan/PMS

- Driving on daily/weekly meetings with other functions regarding the production issues/technical issues/quality issues,…

- Responsible for equipment changing schedule, co-ordinate with Production and Engineering in saving change-over

- Constant interaction with the Engineering team regarding equipment status for output controlling

- Responsible for other tasks related to Production planning if any

- To inform Management of any irregularities or problems that require assistance

- Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurately

- Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned

- Having the authorities within the assigned function

- Adhere to Company quality systems

- Adhere to Company Safety Rules.

Education and working experience required

1. Education:

- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Industrial Management, or relevant.

2. Experience:

Professional experience:

- 6+ years of working experience. Minimum of 3 years of experience in production planning.

Technical knowledge:

- Production Planning

- Lean manufacturing principles

Prerequisites for the assignment:

- Language: Good at English communication (verbal & written)
