Production Planning Coordinator

Department/Section: PM - Program Management

Report to: Program Manager

Job Purpose Summary

Coordinate and expedites the flow of work & materials within or between departments to daily and weekly production schedules. Duties include reviewing and distributing production capacity, workload and shipment schedules. Confer with department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion date. Reviewing inventory levels and help to solve production issues / problems

Key Responsibilities and

- Responsible for production/material planning, scheduling and control.

- Work closely with Product Engineer to launch new products for production build

- Work closely with Procurement for timely materials availability to support NPI production build plans.

- Liaise with Production and Engineering on capacity/resource planning to ensure production plans are met with optimal utilization of capacity.

- Ensure daily production requirements are achieved to meet customer demands / expectations

- Analyze and prepare documents needed for production

- Data analysis and decision making to support raw material supply and finish goods demand

- Creates production schedule and prioritize work orders for production optimization

- Maintains the production schedule and other reports as required

- Follow up as required with all teams to expedite flow of materials and documents to meet production schedules and customer expectations

- Complete status reports for production progress, work in process and raw material inventory

- Interacts with shop floor management on daily basis to resolve issues regarding production efficiencies or additional information as requested

- May need to work overtimes or rotate with others for different shift as required

Knowledge

- University graduated, majoring in Business Studies / Administration or equivalent

Experience

- Knowledgeable in MRP/ERP

- Experience in NPI planning would be an added advantage

- Preferably with 3-10 years relevant experience in PCBA and Box Build manufacturing environment

- Able to work independently
