Production Supervisor

Manage and supervise the day-to-day activities of the organization to ensure operations are completed safely, on time, efficiently, effectively and to quality standards.

It combines hands-on work with supervisory duties. Responsible for optimizing processes, managing resources, communication, and ensuring that company goals are achieved.

Responsibilities

Plan and manage shop floor activities based on production planning. Assign tasks and ensure completion according to plans, specifications and schedules. This includes, but is not limited to: quality control production, maintenance, cleaning (product and machine), sawing, engraving, pressing (straightness and angle), punching, (deep) drilling, tapping, machining, assembling, honing, flushing, welding, painting, packaging, and final inspections.

Promote, facilitate, and implement process optimization within the team to reduce costs.

Ensure efficient use of personnel, materials, and resources, guaranteeing correct, timely, and complete execution of planning according to work instructions, drawings, and quality standards.

Provide clear instructions and directions to employees regarding his/her tasks, machines, materials, safety, health, environment, and quality. Operate machinery, equipment, and tools as needed for instructions or to provide support in case of emergency.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.

Monitor and evaluate the performance goals with the established key performance indicators.

Manage the condition of the building and machinery. Monitor correct, complete, and timely execution of preventive maintenance to minimize unplanned downtime and prevent unnecessary wear.

Supervise system configuration to ensure timely, complete, and accurate information transfer within teams, between teams, and with other departments.

Manage budget & resources and provide advice on (dis)investments and capacity. Ensuring efficient use of personnel and alignment of capacity with demand.

Weekly, monthly and yearly report on the performance and development of productions/operations.

Leadership & communication

Management and communication style which combines Vietnamese (structure, control) and European (flexibility, learning oriented) characteristics.

Supervise, train, and motivate personnel to achieve performance and productivity targets

Competencies and skills

University degree in Mechanical engineering, Industrial management, or Operations management, or an equivalent College degree. And a minimum of 5 years’ experience in manufacturing metal products (preferable in international context).

Strong in practical problem solving, keeping overview, and prioritization

Strong in communication and people management in English and Vietnamese.

Manufacturing (CNC steel machining), shop floor control, quality control & measuring tools.

Structured and precise, pro-active attitude, able to cooperate (with different departments), focus on solutions rather than on positions, and a strong focus on ERP and automation.

Trustworthy, responsible, and uphold high ethical standards.
