Production Supervisor

- VSIP1 (HCMC, formerly Binh Duong): 3 roles

- Nhon Trach 1, Dong Nai: 2 roles

BASIC FUNCTION OF THE JOB:

Provide operational support for production problems in the designated Assembly manufacturing areas. Collaborate with process engineers, planners, purchasers, HR, and others to make production efficient, increase productivity, and limit waste, material usage, utility, and other expenses.

Daily follow-up production schedule to plan for manpower, equipment & factory supply to ensure good product and on-time delivery. Support training and manpower planning to meet mass production volume or ramp-up requirements.

- Conduct daily reviews of the production schedule and respond promptly to any issues to ensure on-time product delivery and that production output meets targets.

- Drive cost reduction initiatives through efficient material usage, reduced setup time, employee training, error prevention, and savings in power and facility usage.

- Manage and control tools and equipment to ensure adequate availability for production, proper storage, and maintenance conditions.

- Allocate manpower, equipment, and other resources effectively to minimize lead time and ensure parts are delivered as promised and on schedule.

- Ensure timely ordering of factory supplies to meet manufacturing needs while keeping tool and supply expenses within budget.

- Inspect parts to ensure they meet specifications before moving to the next process step or shipment. Implement corrective actions if the escaping PPM (parts per million) to assembly exceeds the target.

- Conduct weekly reviews of the production schedule to plan overtime work, ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations.

- Monitor and support human performance, provide recognition, and assist in performance appraisals for operators.

- Review the training matrix and production forecast to identify cross-training needs, enabling flexible production capacity.

Educational background: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science, preferably from Mechanical Engineering /Industrial Engineering or another engineering with Industrial Management experience.

Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.

Abilities:

• Ability to lead staff and set appropriate goals to achieve department business results through yearly complete assignments.

• Ability to troubleshoot and solve production problems effectively and timely manner in a production setting.

• Ability to lead and motivate people, as well as train operators
