Production Supervisor

Job Summary:

This position will be responsible for delivery, output, efficiency, cost, 5S, and scrap reduction efforts.

Work closely with all cross-functional teams to drive quality, manufacturing improvement, and cost reduction.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee the headcount plan according to the production plan arranged;

• Provide leadership to the line leaders for getting production goals achieved;

• Ensure standard operation got implemented;

• Ensure all production standards control plan is compiled as Quality, ESH…

• Drive improvements with cross-function team partners;

• Provide support and training to line leads, ensuring that the workers got fully trained and qualified before mass production;

• Ensure discipline and 5S got well followed & controlled in the workshop;

• Ensure scraps got well controlled to the defined target;

• Timely report to Production Manager for production status including output, schedule attainment, efficiency, and scraps;

• Daily cooperation with QA, Planning, and Technician team to resolve daily issues in the area;

• Routine performance analysis to identify gap and action to close the gap;

• Analysis data, create a development plan for the area, and propose to Manager;

• Develop staff competency & training plan;

• Training/coaching, OJT, qualify staff to ensure enough capability;

• Staff performance setting & evaluation;

• Routine communication to all staff performance and company policy, requirements;

• Investigate the root cause and countermeasures, maintaining and improving the production process;

• Set up new projects such as: Installing new machines, layout, expanding production area, and new products transferred;

• Work closely with Engineers to ensure a smooth and successful introduction of new products to manufacturing;

• Improve production output through the process, equipment, and system upgrades;

• Planning for production material requirements, inventory control;

• Comply with Vietnam law, Company regulations, EHS, ISO, 5S, etc.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Bachelor in Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering or Industrial Engineering.

• At least 5 years in Production/Process Engineering field with minimum 4-5 years in a Supervisor position. With working experience in Plastic products.

• Proven ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

• People management experience is a must.

• Good team player with a positive approach;

• Good English communication skill is preferable.

• Knowledge of ISO 9001/ISO14001.

• Able to work independently as well as a part of company teams and hard working.

• Capable of developing and driving the team to achieve results.

• Good communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.

• Able to work effectively without direct supervision.

• Ability to work under intensity and high pressure.

• Make sure the manufacturing process is on schedule and quality to meet customer needs.

• Setting the operation standard, training operators, and working environment safety.

• Management personnel, budget, spare part, BOM, PQCDSM.

• Knowledge of SPC and QC 7 tools, indicators of process capability of equipment, people, operating....

• Using elements 5S-5M-1E-1I in management.

• Set up and implement quality circle activities PDCA, QCC (Continual Improvement).

• Using the 5Why-1H method in analyzing the cause, to investigate and react.

• Analysis and action to prevent the potential can occur (FMEA, Control plan).

• Perform activities TCD, 7 wastes to reduce costs, and increase profits.

• Strong knowledge in management skills of TPM, SPC, OEE, 5 Why, 4M, 5W2H, 7 Wastes, and Lean manufacturing.
