Project Director (Wind Energy)

˗ Project Leadership, Execution & Delivery: Ensure the projects in the development pipeline will be delivered according to the approved timeline and budget, meeting all standards and safety requirements.

˗ Team Management: Oversee and manage a team of Project Managers, ensuring effective collaboration and communication within the team and with other stakeholders.

˗ Internal Reporting: Coordinate and facilitate reporting processes for internal and international stakeholders, ensuring accurate and timely information dissemination.

˗ Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, working closely with the team to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.

˗ Budget Oversight: Manage project budgets, financial forecasts, and expenditures to optimize resources and achieve cost-effectiveness.

˗ Contractor/Supplier Relationship Management: Select, negotiate, and manage relationships with contractors and suppliers, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality & and safety standards.

˗ Commercial Project Agreements: Lead negotiations of commercial project agreements, including Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) and financing agreements, ensuring favorable terms for the organization.

˗ Project Evaluation and Controlling: Implement evaluation processes to assess project performance, and issues and control project activities to ensure project schedule and completion.

˗ Land Acquisition and Permitting: Oversee land acquisition processes and ensure compliance with permitting and licensing requirements, collaborating with relevant authorities.

˗ Community Engagement: Proactively engage with relevant state authorities, departments, and local authorities to complete legal procedures required for the investment and various stages of the projects.

˗ Technology Integration: Stay informed about advancements in industry trends and renewable energy technology and assess their applicability to enhance project efficiency and sustainability.

˗ Financial Management: Support project developers in developing the project and provide risk management and assessment to secure power-off take arrangements, financing agreements, equity acquisition agreements, etc. with investors and financial institutions.

˗ Bidding Procedure: Coordinate the external bidding process necessary for all phases of project execution, including preparation of bid packages, evaluation of proposals, contract negotiations, and recommendations to senior management.

˗ Project Completion & Operation: Complete the COD procedure with related parties and prepare projects for proper operation until the end of the life cycle.

˗ Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.

˗ Minimum of 10 years of experience in a Project Director role, with a significant focus on wind farm projects.

˗ Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering large-scale wind farm projects, from initial planning through to construction and operation.

˗ Deep expertise in wind farm project management, including site selection, land acquisition, environmental assessments, and regulatory compliance.

˗ Extensive experience in managing land acquisition and compensation processes specific to wind farm developments, including complex negotiations and stakeholder engagement.

˗ Demonstrated ability to oversee and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.

˗ Exceptional leadership, strategic planning, communication, and negotiation skills.

˗ Strong problem-solving abilities and experience managing multiple high-priority projects in a fast-paced environment.
