Project Engineer (18-Month Contract)

POSITION SNAPSHOT • Location: Bien Hoa City • Company: Nestlé Viet Nam • Full time POSITION SUMMARY Within the assigned Process Manage and/or perform the design, implementation and start-up phases of capital investment projects on the manufacturing site, within the defined scope of responsibility or specialization. Ensure that the objectives of the investment project charter, design specifications and Nestlé standards are implemented and adhered to. Includes: • Prepare Procurement strategy, URS, coordinate with procurement team to select equipment supplier • Work with Nestlé expert to develop design: block diagram, P&ID, layout equipment, integration with other stream to complete design • Preparing designs, project controls and specifications, schedules, cost estimates, production, transportation, installation, testing and/or commissioning of new infrastructure, facilities, equipment, etc • Monitoring progress and performance against the project plan; taking action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays • Identifying, developing, and gathering the resources necessary to complete the project • Preparing engineering standards, designs and work specifications; developing project schedules, budgets and forecasts; and selecting materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors • Applies practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience • Works independently with general supervision • May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices • Manage Supplier to OTIF from design, ex-work, shipment, installation & Commissioning • Complete and comply with Nestlé standard for safety, quality before start up. A DAY IN THE LIFE … - Before starting the project design phase: Support the End to End Project Manager and Project Engineering Manager in developing the investment project charter and ensure that it is strictly followed throughout the project. - During project design phase: Execute the basic and detailed design of the project based on Nestlé Corporate Business Principles, Nestlé standards, local regulations, the defined User Requirements Specifications and the TPM characteristics of a unit operation (safety, quality, affordability, maintainability, operability and reliability). Ensure by design the workers, and operators, safety during both the construction and the ongoing operation of the plant. - During the project implementation phase: Ensure that the engineering side of the project is implemented (e.g. buildings, equipment erections, piping, utilities, etc.) in accordance with the defined timing, cost and quality, the URS and the characteristics of a unit operation. And that all of the elements of the project (including technical people training, as needed) in performed in such a way that safety is always guaranteed on the whole project site and that a vertical start-up is assured. Select and qualify contractors and coordinate their activities. Ensure that Nestlé standards are applied. - During the start-up phase of the project: Support the start-up manager and their team to ensure a smooth transition to operations after the qualification and verification of the installation. Contribute to and support the preparation and distributing the engineering project documentation, including the engineering part of the project final report and provide feedback to the Maintenance Prevention System. - During the whole project life: Promote development of environmental-friendly and sustainable solutions. Mobilise resources (internal & external) Key Outputs / Deliverables (position) • Complete URS and manage bidding to select Process Equipment on time and within budget • Working with Supplier on specifications, standard, approval of fabrication drawings so that equipment shall be manufactured on time • Provision of accurately required information for other stream for design phase (equipment layout, equipment load, utilities demand, etc…) • Design and procurement of local scopes to complete assigned Process • Manage and coordinate FAT for import equipment to meet Nestle standards and design requirement • Manage suppliers/Contractor for erection, assembling and installation of assigned Process area to meet safety, quality, time • Complete SAT meeting safety, quality, time and training material to be ready for start up • Accountable to ensure successful commissioning of assigned Process • Coordination with Operation and Start-Up team to perform Qualification of the Process; and pass Pre-SSR • Support Operation and Start-Up team and Factory Team in Verification phase to ensure Vertical Start-Up • Proper Hand-over to Factory Team in term of documentation, training and knowledge transfer

WHAT MAKES YOU SUCCESSFUL • Bachelor's Degree in mechanical or technical field • Manufacturing projects management: 03 years of experience in capital investment projects development and implementation in food & beverage industry. Combination between food industry and service engineer should be okay. • Determination of methods to minimize the likelihood of injuries or damages to people and/or equipment (SH&E) • Knowledge in food manufacturing processes: Mechanical Engineering background • Basic knowledge of food process equipment and components • Basic knowledge of hygienic engineering design for food plant • Ability to work with drawings AutoCAD 2D/Inventor • Basic knowledge on Project Management, Project Foundation • Have Knowledge on safety in design and Construction/installation phase • English Skill at minimum Intermediate Level (listening, speaking, writing, reading) • AutoCAD 2D/Inventor at intermediate level • Microsoft Office at intermediate level
