Project Engineer

This is a remote position. Candidates based in Ho Chi Minh City or Southern Vietnam (close to HCMC) are preferred.

We are seeking a Project Engineer to support our Asia Sourcing Office, managing engineering and project execution from product development through mass production, in close collaboration with global teams and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering & Project Management

• Review and analyze technical information packages submitted for quotation.

• Align and confirm specifications with the global engineering team, including materials, technical requirements, processes, testing, and inspection criteria.

• Communicate complete technical product packages to current and potential suppliers.

• Coordinate with Buyers to ensure all supplier quotations meet required specifications.

• Manage supplier capabilities in development, project execution.

• Monitor project timelines, progress and logistics requirements.

Supplier & Sample Management

• Confirm sample orders and oversee testing of requested products, components, and materials.

• Conduct on-site testing at supplier facilities to ensure samples meet specifications and pass testing/inspection requirements.

• Ensure material quality and supply readiness up to production standards.

• Obtain quotations and samples for components based on drawings, samples, and specifications.

Quality, Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain technical files and manage engineering changes and documentation.

• Support outgoing inspections on shipments when required.

• Assist in reviewing and improving purchasing policies and procedures to ensure ethical compliance.

Other Responsibilities

• Prepare reports and analyses as needed.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalen

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Project Engineering and/or Product Development

• Willingness to travel within Southeast Asia

• Strong background in mechanical design preferred

• Experience in material selection for product design

• Knowledge of plastic/ metal fabrication processes

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Pro-E preferred

Preferred:

• Experience working with FDA, MDR, or other regulated medical devices

• Experience working in a Western-managed company is a plus
