Project Manager In North

Project manager will be the technical liaison between purchasing, product engineering, manufacturing, and our supply base. In this role, Project manager

will work with the suppliers to resolve supplier-manufacturing issues; implement and monitor the quality-planning systems, conduct process audit/buy-off, guild local HQTS QC to do pre-shipment inspection and provide technical support throughout the lifecycle of the product.

Responsibilities:

1. Supplier Qualifications

- Coordinate Initial Supplier Evaluation / Assessment and make recommendations for qualification and/or disqualification based upon the assessment scores

2. Ensuring Supplier Quality

- Coordinate with Engineering, Process and Manufacturing functions to ensure clear requirements and specifications are laid down for the components/parts

- Execute the First Article Inspection process to ensure parts are conforming to requirements & specifications

- Collecting and maintaining necessary documents and certificates of conformance from supplier

- Review suppliers’ Control Plan and manufacturing processes collaborate with suppliers on strict process adherence.

- Work with suppliers in setting up process controls, data collection, failure analysis, corrective action, and reporting (in every phase of manufacturing) format and process flow

- Conduct initial production process audit prior to mass production, and approve the commencement of mass production

- Conduct pre-shipment inspection to buy off the shipment at the factory

3. Maintaining Supplier Quality

- Plan and execute supplier audit, complete and accurate documentation of audit results, drive improvement when deviations were discovered

- Review and maintain supplier performance metrics (LAR, DPPM, 8D closure etc), present the performance metrics as well as issues in relevant quality forum

4. Improving Supplier Quality on a Continual basis

- Drive root cause analysis on component/part quality issues and complete the improvement process

- Drive suppliers on the use of an improvement action process, quality tools & techniques

- Drive suppliers in improving early detection capability and OCAP mechanism to prevent the occurrence of quality issue

• Degree in Plastic molding or Mechanical, or other relevant Engineering disciplines

• 2 to 3 years of experience in supplier quality management of consumer products

• Practitioner of AQL sampling plan

• Practitioner of process audits

• Application of Statistical Tool/s, including SPC and GR&R

• Practitioner of Quality Tools such as 8D/SCAR, FAI, PDCA, Problem Solving Techniques

• Experience with plastic & metal tooling, molding, and machining process

• Excellent communication & analytical skills
