BASIC FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION
Under the direction of the Laboratory Systems Team Lead, the incumbent will provide technical assistance and logistical support for on-going laboratory activities in support of CDC-funded cooperative agreement projects in Vietnam. The Laboratory Program Officer will assist in the implementation and monitoring of laboratory aspects of CDC Vietnam programs, including conducting site visits to monitor the quality of TB testing, procurement of equipment, reagents and supplies; identifying training needs; organizing training courses and assuring timely submission of required reports, development reports, technical presentations and translated reports as needed. The Laboratory Program Officer will work closely with the Laboratory Systems Team Lead.

Experience: Three years’ experience in microbiology laboratory science are required.
Languages:
• Fluency in Speaking/Reading/Writing English is required. (This will be tested.)
• Fluency in Speaking/Reading/Writing Vietnamese is required.
