Purchasing

1. JOB PURPOSE

Ensure the timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and accessories (fabrics, leather, zippers, threads, logos, packaging, etc.) required for the production of backpacks and bags, with the right quality and specifications.

2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Search, evaluate, and select suppliers that meet technical and cost requirements.

• Prepare purchasing plans based on production needs, orders, and stock levels.

• Handle the full purchasing process: place orders, follow up on delivery timelines, check and confirm quality and quantity upon receipt.

• Negotiate contracts, prices, terms of payment, discounts, and delivery conditions with suppliers.

• Monitor and report market trends and price fluctuations of materials.

• Coordinate with relevant departments (accounting, warehouse, production, technical) to ensure smooth purchasing operations.

• Handle issues such as late delivery, incorrect items, or defective materials.

• Maintain and update supplier profiles, quotations, and purchase contracts.

• Propose solutions for cost optimization and purchasing process improvements.

• College degree or higher in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Import-Export, or related fields.

• 2-5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the textile, bag, or garment industry.

• Good knowledge of materials and accessories used in backpacks and bags is a plus.

• Strong negotiation and communication skills.

• Good time management, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel); experience with ERP/MRP systems is a plus.

• Honest, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
