Purchasing Manager

Position: Purchasing Manager

Department: GA&P

Report to: GA&P Team Leader

Key Responsibilities

1. Procurement Management:

• Support Team Leader in supervising daily purchasing activities.

• Manage procurement of assets, equipment, consumables, and services.

• Handle supplier sourcing, quotation requests, and price comparisons.

• Ensure all purchasing activities comply with internal procedures and approval processes.

2. Cost & Contract Control:

• Negotiate and review quotations to ensure best price and quality.

• Support contract preparation, verification, and documentation management.

3. Process Improvement:

• Propose solutions to improve purchasing efficiency, supplier management, and cost control.

• Participate in developing and updating purchasing procedures and documentation systems.

4. Reporting & Coordination:

• Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities and supplier performance.

• Collaborate closely with Production, Maintenance, GA, and Finance teams to ensure procurement aligns with operational needs.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

• Minimum 3 years of management or supervisory experience.

• Over 7 years of purchasing experience in the steel or heavy industry sector.

• Strong communication, negotiation, and coordination skills.

• Able to read and write in English (Korean is an advantage).

• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• Responsible, detail-oriented, and proactive in work.

• Internal Working Relationships: General Affairs, Finance, Production, Maintenance, and QA teams.

• External Working Relationships: Vendors, suppliers, and service providers.
