Purchasing Staff

JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for purchasing consumables, services, spare part, tools, equipment within TERUMO BCT VN. This position is responsible for supporting the achievement of company goals and will report to Purchasing Manager and Supply Chain Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Work in a highly regulated GMP environment.

• Select, review, and approve new suppliers and contractors as required.

• Manage purchase contract including contract preparation, contract negotiation, contract award, contract set-up in system and periodic contract review.

• Understand, adhere to, and maintain the procurement procedures effectively.

• Ensure on-time delivery in a cost effective and timely manner.

• Coordinate purchasing activities with other departments to control and ensure the best optimum inventory level by performing cost analysis and purchase volume for major commodities.

• Coordinate with other departments to develop new supply sources to maintain and continuously improve supply quality and competitiveness. This includes defining of purchase scope and specification, quotation obtaining, supplier qualification, supplier set-up and maintenance of purchasing and supplier database.

• Review and process Request for Sourcing including verification/benchmark of price and other transaction conditions, negotiation, PO creation, and PO acknowledgement.

• Manage purchase info records includes periodic pricing review, adding/removing or updating info record item in systems in according the process.

• Coordinate with other department in bidding/tendering for major spending per procurement process.

• Manage supplier performance periodically. Coordinate with other department to solve any issue relating to order fulfillment including but not limited to delivery, payment and quality issue.

• Participate in localization and direct purchase projects as well as other cost saving project.

• Adhere to and comply with all international transport and customs regulations.

• Support RQA team and requesters to ensure the quality of incoming consumables, tools, equipment, services.

• Ensure all purchasing documents are filed and controlled complying with company confidential & retention requirement.

• Any other responsibilities as assigned by management.

Education

• University graduate at least

• Good command of English in speaking and writing

Experience

• Prefer experience as a staff level position within a global company

• Strong negotiation skills

• Strong planning skill

• Strong experience with analysis and detail orientation

• Strong experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

• Strong interpersonal skills with all levels and cultures

• Positive attitude

• Effective in dealing with people at all levels and organizations

• Excellent organization and time management skills

• Strong ability to work independently as well as a part of team

• SAP experience strongly desired

• Experience in a medical device or pharmacy or FDA regulated environment desired
