Purchasing Staff (Technical Background)

Report to: GA & PU Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and select suppliers for raw materials, spare parts, equipment, and technical services.

• Review and interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate identification of required items.

• Collaborate closely with Technical, Maintenance, and Production departments to capture procurement needs.

• Negotiate prices, commercial terms, delivery schedules, and after-sales services.

• Track order status and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or payment.

• Maintain procurement records and documentation in compliance with ISO / ERP / SAP procedures.

• Recommend cost-saving initiatives, quality improvements, and risk mitigation measures in purchasing activities.

• Bachelor’s/College degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical – Electronics, Automation, or Business Administration with technical knowledge.

• At least 1–2 years of experience in technical/equipment purchasing.

• Strong ability to read and understand technical drawings, catalogues, and specifications.

• Excellent negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills.

• Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of ERP/SAP is an advantage.

• Good command of English for reading technical documents (speaking ability is a plus).
