QA Manager (Label, Packaging)

Job Purpose

The QA Manager is accountable for overseeing and ensuring the effectiveness of all quality assurance operations within the plant. This role involves implementing quality systems, maintaining compliance, supporting product integrity, and fostering continuous improvement across the facility.

Key Responsibilities

Contribute to the development and execution of strategic quality plans by offering insights and evaluations; support the implementation of initiatives to uphold operational, quality, and customer service standards.

Develop and manage budgets related to quality activities, monitor expenditure, analyze variances, and take corrective actions when necessary to meet financial goals.

Establish and execute quality management protocols through risk assessments, defining control points, setting thresholds, monitoring practices, and applying corrective and verification measures.

Ensure process and product quality by validating specifications, documenting findings, and maintaining up-to-date quality procedures in accordance with internal and external standards.

Drive product excellence by executing audits, responding to customer feedback, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine product designs, improve manufacturing practices, and enhance staff training.

Generate comprehensive quality reports by compiling relevant data, identifying trends, and reporting on corrective or preventive actions, as well as regulatory compliance.

Report and track Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and Corrective Action Requests (CAR), submitting updates to senior management Weekly / Monthly

Coordinate training sessions with department heads on newly issued or updated quality procedures Monthly

Evaluate and flag key operational risks or performance gaps for improvement Monthly

Collaborate with department heads on revising and improving SOPs Monthly

Ensure ISO standards are maintained and updated Annually

Conduct and update Risk Assessment Plans Monthly

Facilitate Monthly Management Reviews (MMR) Monthly

Lead and monitor Environment, Health & Safety initiatives Monthly

Conduct quality audits for major local suppliers Annually

Key Performance Indicators (KPI)

KPI will be established in alignment with company goals and may include, but are not limited to:

Reduction in customer complaints

Minimizing external product rejections

Implementing annual quality improvement plans

Successful completion of customer and third-party audits

Maintaining certification for quality and environmental management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001)

Performance Monitoring

Performance will be assessed based on agreed KPIs.

Reviews will be conducted quarterly.

Specific job tasks and responsibilities will be factored into the employee’s performance evaluation.

Evaluations are conducted regularly in line with quarterly performance reviews.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial management; technical printing; Food Technology, Chemistry, Engineering, or related disciplines.

At least 8 years of experience in Quality Assurance, with 3 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity in a manufacturing environment.

Solid knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, HACCP, and GMP standards; prior involvement in certification audits is a plus.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive mindset toward continuous improvement.

Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with different departments.

Excellent communication and report-writing skills in both Vietnamese and English.

Familiarity with risk assessment tools and quality management software is preferred.

Ability to handle pressure and manage multiple tasks with strict deadlines.
