Qbe Asia Actuarial – Actuarial Analyst

Supporting Roles: • Data preparation and analysis to support financial and regulatory deliverables on AASB1023, IFRS4 and IFRS17 bases. • Data preparation for reserving review, portfolio deep dive and planning. • Conduct comprehensive actuarial reserving analysis using actuarial software and statistical method to project future liabilities and assess the company’s financial position. • Identify key trends in portfolio claims experience and risk profile to support reserving and generate actional insight for the business. • Provide actuarial support to country lead in areas of technical reserving, financial reporting, and financial planning. • Collaborate with finance, underwriting, distribution and claims to set budget loss ratios and quarterly loss ratios reforecasting. • Create and maintain data visualization dashboards to monitor portfolio performance. • Conduct stress testing, sensitivity analyses periodically. • Communicate actuarial concepts and findings to non-actuarial stakeholders in a clear and concise manner to facilitate decision making. • Provide actuarial support on ad-hoc requests from other functions. • Identify risks and report issues in actuarial and financial reporting processes. • Other duties from the General Director from time to time.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree holder in Statistics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Financial Engineering, Business Analytics, Actuarial or related discipline. • Part qualified student actuary aiming to be a fellow of an International Association. • Strong critical thinking skills with a curious mindset. • 2-3 years of experience in general insurance preferred. • Effective communication skills translating technical topics for non-technical stakeholders. • Comfortable extracting, processing, and manipulating large quantity of data. • Knowledge of SQL and database systems • Knowledge of Excel/VBA, SAS, R or similar statistical software • Knowledge of Power BI or other data visualization tools a plus • Fluency in Vietnamese, English, and other Asian languages a plus Interested candidates please send full resume with expected salary & available start date Only shortlisted candidates will be notified, and all personal data will be used for recruitment purposes.
