Quality Assurance Manager

II. Job Purpose

Ensure that the Quality Management System (ISO 9001, BRC, …) is properly implemented, maintained, and continuously improved to ensure customer satisfaction, compliance, and product consistency.

III. Key Responsibilities

1. Establish and Maintain QMS

• Implement and update ISO/BRC documentation and procedures.

• Conduct internal audits, manage CAPA, and ensure effectiveness.

• Manage external audits from customers and certification bodies.

2. Quality Supervision

• Oversee QA inspection of raw materials, in-process, and finished goods.

• Approve product specifications, COA, and COQ.

• Collaborate with R&D and Production to evaluate new materials or processes.

3. Customer Complaints & Corrective Actions

• Manage customer complaints and conduct root cause analysis (8D, 5Why, Fishbone).

• Implement corrective and preventive actions and verify their effectiveness.

• Report complaint trends and improvements to management.

4. Training and Team Development

• Provide training on ISO 9001 BRC, 5S, Kaizen, SPC, MSA, and 7QC Tools.

• Develop QA competence and foster a quality culture across departments.

5. Continuous Improvement

• Analyze defect and rejection data to identify improvement opportunities.

• Lead Kaizen, Lean, or Six Sigma projects for productivity and quality enhancement.

6. Change Management (ECN)

• Manage engineering changes with risk assessment and approval.

• Update related documents (WI, BOM, Recipe, Spec) and communicate changes.

7. Reporting and KPI

• Prepare weekly/monthly/quarterly reports on quality performance.

• Monitor KPI: defect rate, complaint rate, audit score, CAPA compliance.

8. Cross-Functional Coordination

• Act as the focal point among QA, Production, R&D, Sales, Warehouse, and Procurement.

• Support Sales during customer audits and sample approvals.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Plastic Engineering, or Quality Management.

Experience: Minimum 10 years in QA/QC, with at least 5 years in management, preferably in plastic or FMCG.

Knowledge: ISO 9001, GMP, BRC Packaging, FMEA, SPC, MSA, 7QC Tools.

Skills: Leadership, analytical thinking, communication, and training.

Language:Proficient in English for technical documentation and communication.

Computer Skills:Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint; ERP system experience preferred.
