Quality Control (QC) Specialist

My Source Global is a sourcing and trading company. We provide exceptional product and factory sourcing, product development, quality control, distribution and manufacturing control across South-East Asia since 2009.

Overview the role:

• Responsible for direct examination of products to ensure quality standards meet with customer specifications

• Direct knowledge of QA and QC methodologies

• Responsible for strictly adhering to quality assurance policies

• Ability to efficiently identify defect and/or production errors in a timely manner, including in line and pre-shipment checks’

• Highly motivated and capable of self-direction, including ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision.

• Practical experience with risk management, product testing and control plans.

• Design and develop products as requested by customer

• Effectively communicate with production personnel, sourcing personnel and the customer to resolve issues and meet order demands

• Responsibility for the communication of changes to product requirements

• Various other duties such as some translation may be required from time to time.

• Some factory sourcing may be required.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for preparing and conducting factory assessments.

• Responsible for checking and inquiring about all necessary physical / chemical tests to assure quality of products.

• Responsible for confirmation of all bulk production materials before starting the production.

• Promote or suggest actions to avoid delay or cost increase

• Support to improve continuous product improvements, especially best sellers, looking for better efficiency of the production process.

• Ensuring the correct execution of the products according to the established criteria for quality, deadlines, etc.

• Monitoring and control of production from initial stage until end product.

• Release quality reports to all parties about pre-production meetings, in line inspection, final inspection, re-inspection.

• Applying the inspection and sizing criteria specified according to the product, based on AQL.

• For defective items detected, either by the team or at shops, the technician and QC has to study the defect root cause with vendor and apply immediate changes looking for permanent solution on future productions.

• Create technical drawings of products according to the designs approved.

• Check carefully all new collections with development team and vendors to identify the risk points of each product and look for improvements before starting the mass production.

• Check and approve Confirmation Sample together with development team.

• Promote or suggest actions to avoid delay or cost increase

• Support local repairing workshop and promote fast and efficient repairing of pieces returned from costumers.

Candidate requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in QC.

• Experience in various type of products, both soft and hard materials (Candles, ribbon, plastic covers, jewellery, bags, candy, party accessories, outdoor & indoor furniture, paper products, bathroom accessories and many more)

• AutoCAD 2D & 3D Max, Solid Works experience is preferable.

• High level of attention to details and analytical thinking

• Fluent in spoken and written English. Third language is a plus

• Intermediate to advanced experience in Microsoft Office 365, including SharePoint, MS Team.

• Experience in order tracking and management is key.

• Strong ability to problem solves in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to communicate in a clear, concise and professional manner.

• Excellent stakeholder management skills including: the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels and message appropriately and the ability to readily work across multiple departments in a collaborative manner.
