Quality Inspector (Electronics & Hardgoods)

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Quality Inspector to strengthen our Vietnam Quality Team. This position is essential in ensuring that our suppliers consistently meet the highest quality standards. You will conduct detailed on-site inspections at partner factories, collaborate closely with suppliers, and help safeguard our commitment to excellence in high-tech sporting goods sourcing and production oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections in supplier’s manufacturing facilities during sample making and mass production stages to ensure compliance with specific quality standards.

• Record inspection results by completing detailed reports and documentation.

• Collect test and measurement data in the field using precision measurement tools.

• Review and approve factory self-inspection reports, ensuring adherence to stringent quality control measures.

• Conduct pilot run First Pass Yield evaluations.

• Work collaboratively with Product Developers and Quality Engineers to establish inspection criteria with appropriate tolerances.

• Assist in the development of test methods and inspection plans.

• Follow up with suppliers to implement Corrective Action Plans when product quality issues arise.

• Monitor factory performance to ensure quality expectations are consistently met.

• Provide training and support to factory personnel as needed to maintain appropriate quality standards.

• Elevate significant quality issues to direct manager promptly.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education

• Diploma or higher in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant discipline

Language Skills

• Required: Proficient in English (reading, writing, and speaking)

• Preferred: Ability to speak Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is a significant advantage

Experience

• Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience in quality control or quality inspection within a manufacturing environment.

• Experience in consumer electronic products, goggles, protective gear or consumer hardgoods inspection is highly preferred.

• Experience working in a multinational corporation (MNC) environment is an advantage.

• Familiarity with international quality and safety standards (CE, IEC, FCC, UL, RoHS) is advantageous.

Additional Skills and Attributes

• Willingness to travel frequently to factory locations throughout Vietnam and potentially other Southeast Asian countries

• Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, or overtime as production schedules require.

• Familiarity with electronic reporting systems and data entry processes.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) for data analysis and reporting.

• Basic understanding of quality management software and database systems is beneficial.

• Strong understanding of AQL (Acceptance Quality Limits) standards, particularly ANSI-ASQ Z1.4 or ISO 2859-1.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with factory personnel, suppliers, and internal teams.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and product standards.

• Understanding of manufacturing processes and production flow.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also functioning effectively as part of a team.

• Disciplined approach to work with strong sense of responsibility.
