Quality Manager - Textile/Apparel

The opportunity is open for self-motivated, mature professionals with extensive experience in quality control in high-end textile/garment/apparel industry.

Description

The successful candidate will report to Merchandiser Director and take responsibility for:

* Lead and coach the team to drive quality performance proactively with vendors

* Lead and drive continuous improvement projects / vendor training and development

* Build relationships internally with regional QA director, Operations and merchandising teams, and externally with Clients and vendors building trust based on expertise and delivery of objectives.

* Monitor production of the suppliers closely to ensure quality meet with buyers' requirements

* Provide training & technical advice to QA inspectors & factories

Profile

The ideal candidate should have:

* 10+ year quality control/quality assurance experience in textile/apparel;

* Experience in woven, knit & sweater for high fashion brands & tailoring items;

* Familiar with quality standards and requirements of US markets for garment;

* Good command of written and spoken in Chinese and English;

* Garment trading or buying office experience is a plus;

* Good communication & interpersonal skills;
