- Development of new products within specific business units and translate consumer needs into product formulations that will be preferred by consumers. Both in terms of taste / sensoric profile and functional benefits
- Collaborate cross functions (Marketing, Operations, etc.) to ensure the best quality of our products and facilitate in innovation/renovation projects
- Manages the technical product development activities ensuring that the agreed development programs meet with the company’s business objectives. The products meet compliance with food safety, government regulations and consumer needs
- Identifies and explores and initiates all possibilities to have lowest recipe costs possible without losing focus for best taste
- Interact or co-operate with production for process improvement, transition of new products into production
- Coaching and training junior product developers or technicians
- Follow and monitor other staff in line/areas to follow together about rules related to safety, health and environment within the Company
Job Responsibilities
New Product Development
- Follow Safety, Hygiene, 5S standards and standard Food Safety FrieslandCampina (FOQUs)
- Ensures all activities of R&D in effective manner
- Executes all product development steps as agreed in R&D briefs and according to project management principles
- Co-operates with R&D affiliates and FCV to do projects of cost saving technically
- Evaluates and proposes alternative and exchange raw materials in existing products
- Ensures timely and proper evaluation of internal (expert) panel test and product performance tests resulting in actionable improvements
- Creates and manages formulas of existing and innovative products
- Ensures FCV products are in compliance with government legislation and consumer needs
- Ensures current and new design of packaging meet government legislation
- Ensures trial runs for new products and improved products conducted to meet production feasibility and deliver real products to market tests
- Manages and upgrades R&D Lab (equipment, facilities, etc.) to meet quality/safety standards
- Control the department budget
- Trouble shooting and risk analysis in cooperation with operation
Project Management
- Accurate records of project activities process against milestones
- Ensures projects follow project management procedure
- Ensures methods, work instructions and related procedures available for new product development
- Write/ contribute to final project/trial reports
Specialist Expertise / Innovation
- Keep up-to-date with the latest development (inter)nationally
- Establishes and maintains an (inter) national network of contacts (e.g. suppliers, counterparts at FCV affiliates) to ensure up-to-date knowledge, regional alignment and efficiencies
- Selects, audits and evaluates suppliers timely at quality side
- Acts as internal auditor and trainer
- Other tasks assigned by the Line Manager.
Yêu Cầu Công Việc
- Experience: 5 years’ experience in innovation, value engineering and compliance projects, preferably FMCG.
- Skills:
+ Strong technical skills in product development, commercialization processes and food safety and quality standards
+ Experience in translating consumer opportunities in winning product designs
+ Interpersonal skill with the ability to engage business/stakeholders.
+ Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing ( in Vietnamese & English) with all levels within all business functions, technically and commercially
