R&D Engineer - Australian Company in Binh Duong

• Provide detailed engineering designs and 3D modelling new and existing products under the direction from project managers both within and outside of R&D.

• Create and maintain product drawings using CAD. Drawings must conform to good engineering standards.

• Maintain orderly filing of drawing office documentation.

• As instructed, develop Concept Plans, preliminary models/drawings for new R&D projects.

• Preparation and maintenance of Design Control Documentation, including

o Drawings, control and maintenance.

o Technical Specifications for components and finished products.

o Create and maintain Bills of Materials and ERP establishment for new or modified components and product as detailed in accompanying change notices and drawings.

o Manage the CI-PCR Product Change Request project register

• Compile temporary and permanent change notices in a manner that clearly communicates the requirement of the change.

• Distribute temporary and permanent change notices to relevant recipients in the organization by hard copy and electronically.

• Monthly status reporting

• Participate in ‘Cost Down’ projects

• Supporting the approvals process for certification and compliance of new and existing products.

• Benchmark competitors’ products.

• Prototype and test components and products to ensure required performance levels are met.

• Manage PPAP sample submission and approval. Carry out product and component validation test and measurement according to WI.

• Carry out setting up and performing DVP&R testing for products/ components.

• Carry out other tasks as directed.

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or a related field: at least 4 years in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automotive, Thermal, HVAC, Electronics Engineering

• Experience in 3D CAD design (Inventor/Solidwork preferred) + Proficiency in 3D Solid Modelling (Autodesk Inventor or equivalent + tooling design, CAD designer, electronics circuit design.

• Computer literacy, including experience in the use of:

o Word processing software (preferably Microsoft Word); and

o Electronic spreadsheets (preferably Microsoft Excel).

• A strong ability to communicate both verbal and written to all levels - from shop floor to senior management.

• Ability to communicate, speak and write English would be an advantage.
