R&D Leader - Outdoor Furniture

Position Summary

As an R&D Leader at Greenmore, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the development of new outdoor furniture products. You will be responsible for closely monitoring the progress of development projects, ensuring successful execution from the factory as according to timeline. This position requires strong leadership skills and a keen understanding of the manufacturing process to drive innovation and maintain high-quality standards.

Goals and Key Tasks

• Monitor and oversee the progress of development projects on a monthly basis.

• Support the implementation of the overall product line development in alignment with company sales targets;

• Develop the overall product strategy for company projects, including product standardization directions and requirements

• Formulate project plans and lead the team in execution and implementation

• Collaborate with brand development to formulate and execute product development plans

• Analyze and address product-related issues in both R&D and pre-production stages

• Collaborate closely with factory production teams to ensure timely execution of product development to meet timeline

• Stay actively engaged at the factory to troubleshoot issues and ensure smooth product development.

• Coordinate with marketing, design and sales teams to align product development with market trends.

Product Research:

• Organize product research, conduct industry analysis, monitor trends, study competitors, and develop and execute product promotion plans.

Product R&D and Management:

• Lead the research and development of new products, processes, and structures;

• Oversee improvements to existing products in terms of structure and processes, and ensure the quality of technical drawings;

• Coordinate and support sample testing, packaging design, and price analysis;

• Organize technical teams to resolve major technical and process-related issues during production.

Sample Management:

• Develop sample production plans and oversee sample evaluations;

• Manage the sample workshop

1. College degree or above;

2. Over 5 years of experience in market and product development, with at least 5 years in a management role in a related field; experience in materials processing, finished furniture, or outdoor furniture industries is preferred;

3. Strong professional and managerial experience in product design, development, and engineering;

4. Sharp insight into products and ability to keep up with industry and technology trends;

5. Strong work ethics and a proactive, positive, honest, reliable, and responsible attitude; good team spirit;

6. Data-driven mindset and keen market judgment and insight;

7. Excellent team leadership and management skills, with proven ability to resolve complex project-related issues and rich practical experience.
