Summary / purpose of the position
The Regional Sales Manager manages and leads the RO sales team of Medical Representatives with mixed profiles (visiting both physicians and pharmacies) and ensures that profitable business growth objectives are achieved within the strategic framework of the company in a high-quality, timely, ethical, and cost-effective manner. Additionally, this role is responsible for developing and maintaining cooperation with key customers to drive product growth and market presence.
Main responsibilities / job expectations
• Driving compliant brand growth and profitability
- Propose and achieve individual brand targets for representatives
- Monitor country and territory performance against performance targets
- Identify and execute key opportunities to drive brand growth on each territory
- In cooperation with marketing teams, identify relevant customer groups (incl. KOL), understand their needs and ways to manage them
• Recruit, lead and develop a high performing Sales team
- Manage operationally local direct subordinates to develop and retain an industry-leading team in a culture of high performance and continuous improvement
- Ensure effective recruitment, motivation and development of the team, creating a positive team environment
- Identify training needs and execute an appropriate training program
- Responsible for implementing the segmentation and targeting strategy
- Establish individual KPI’s for each subordinate and monitor them
- Assess and reward performance based on clear objectives
- Ensure face-to-face coaching of representatives and achieve a minimum of one field visit per representative each month
- Implement and execute competency model and associated tools
- Supervise the proper usage of the CRM system
• Lead and promote continuous improvement / Exemplify core action principles
- Seek continuous improvement in effectiveness, especially in customer segmentation and targeting
- Deliver enhancements to existing tools and methodologies
- Supervise the most effective definition and implementation of the roadmap and KPI’s
- Conduct ongoing monthly analysis to identify trends and highlight opportunities for growth on the country level. Ensure team members are analysing similar data
- Identify and recommend structural and resource requirements
- Ensure compliance with MA Code of Conduct and all applicable laws and policies
• Develop sales strategy and tactics
- Contribute to annual budget, strategic plan and operating plan
- Responsible for managing the sales team’s budget allocation and execution: merchandising, events
- Translate annual operating plan into specific action items and ensure execution of local tactics, with focus on targeted business opportunities
- Ensure representative activities are prioritized and aligned to national brand strategy and positioning
- Submit an informative monthly report that captures key market and competitive insights and highlights territory successes and challenges
- Supervise the implementation of the approved commercial and marketing campaigns
-Build and develop the KOL network relevant to each therapeutic area and main stakeholders
• Participate in effective Commercial Activities
- Responsible for maximizing profitable business growth with defined customers (local pharmacy chains, key purchasing groups and big hospitals)
- Provide regular and complete information to design and implement effective commercial strategies; make specific proposals for commercial campaigns
- Monitor the pharmaceutical market environment to identify, propose and implement commercial campaigns and special actions
- Maintain regular and dynamic contact with main distributors, pharmacy chains, and key purchasing decision makers in the industry
- Work closely with the product manager in the preparation and execution of national and local customer business development programs
- Provide clear forecasts related to the retail segment
Yêu cầu công việc
Education / Certifications:
• Graduated or university degree
Experience:
• Proven track record of working with OTC products, FMCG
• Deep understanding of the Vietnamese market, particularly regarding major customers and key stakeholders
• Local Key Account business management
• Implementation of marketing strategies through merchandising
• Proven experience in commercial activities at POS: sell-in, sell-out frameworks
Languages: Fluent spoken and written English, Vietnamese

• Excellent organisation, planning, implementation ability; ability to deliver to a deadline. Computer use: Excel, Power Point, Word
