***Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Regional Sales Manager to lead our sales efforts for the Rheumatology and Ophthalmology product lines within the Southern Vietnam region. Based in Ho Chi Minh City, the successful candidate will be responsible for achieving sales targets, managing and developing a high-performing sales team, and strategically expanding our market presence. This role requires strong leadership, analytical, and interpersonal skills, coupled with a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and tender processes.
***Key Responsibilities:
• Sales Target and Performance Management: Establish and allocate realistic annual and monthly sales targets for the sales team, assuming direct accountability for sales performance within assigned provinces and territories.
• Resource Allocation and Budget Management: Effectively allocate and manage the sales budget and company resources, ensuring ethical and compliant utilization in alignment with company policies and local regulations to maximize the return on investment.
• Business Monitoring and Analysis: Routinely monitor business activities, track and follow up on sales team activities, and conduct thorough analysis to identify areas for performance improvement and development.
• Situational Analysis and Problem Solving: Analyze and evaluate the competitive landscape, identifying strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. Develop and implement timely and effective solutions to address challenges, proactively informing and collaborating with senior management.
• Market Expansion and Opportunity Identification: Proactively identify and pursue opportunities and effective strategies to expand market share and penetrate new territories.
• Tender Management:
o Collaborate with and guide Area Sales Managers (ASMs) and Medical Representatives (MRs) throughout the tender process, from initial planning to final outcome. This includes developing tender plans, allocating budgets, managing product listing, and monitoring competitor pricing.
o Stay abreast of and communicate new tender policies, regulations, and decrees that may impact the tender process and results.
• Team Leadership and Development: Work closely with direct reports (ASMs and MRs) to ensure effective implementation of company strategies within the assigned regions. Provide ongoing coaching, training, and development to the sales team, with a focus on leadership, management, and analytical skills for direct reports.
• Performance Review and Succession Planning: Collaborate with ASMs to conduct performance reviews for MRs, identify potential successors, and develop individual development plans for each team member.
• Sales Force Effectiveness: Monitor and control sales force activities, review reports from all ASMs/MRs, and provide strategic recommendations to optimize sales force efficiency.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Cooperate and support the Customer Service team to ensure smooth and timely delivery processes at local warehouses. Collaborate with Marketing and Scientific teams in the organization of symposia, workshops, and customer meetings.
• Reporting and Planning: Prepare comprehensive weekly and monthly plans and reports for the line manager.
• Key Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and decision-makers, proactively expanding these relationships to potential and new clients.
Yêu cầu công việc
• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Medical Science, or a related field; Doctor or Pharmacist preferred.
• Proven experience in the pharmaceutical industry, specifically within the ETC (Ethical/Prescription) and/or Medical Device sectors.
• Fluency in English is essential.
• Positive, open-minded, highly responsible, and self-motivated with the ability to motivate a team.
• Demonstrated strong leadership, negotiation, interpersonal, communication, and people skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, planning, and management abilities.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and possess strong organizational skills.
