ZINC OXIDE VIETNAM LLC which was established on April 5, 2017, is invested by Korea Zinc.
Korea Zinc is a world-class general non-ferrous metal smelting company and especially a No.1 Zinc, Lead, and Silver producer. (Sales of 2017: over 6 billion USD)
It strengthens its future business basis by establishing subsidiaries worldwide such as in Australia, Peru, Bolivia, Thailand, and VIETNAM.
Also, ZincOx is the developer of Asia’s largest zinc recycling plant.
Based on the world's best technology of Korea Zinc, ZOCV will provide a safe and secure way of recycling all Ba Ria Vung Tau’s EAFD (Electric arc furnace dust)
We do our best to solve the growing environmental problem caused by EAFD in Ba Ria Vung Tau Province.
EAFD recycling plant at PM3 IZ with details as below:
- Investment amount: over $120M
- Capacity: 100,000 tons of EAFD processed
- Production: 35,000 tons of HZO (Zn 65%) or 25,000 tons of IZO (Zn 80%)
- Factory site: 87,108㎡
- EPC contractor: POSCO E&C
- Construction commencement: Jan of 2018
- Production commencement: July 2019

EAFD is recycled to produce zinc oxide (HZO, grade 65%) which can replace zinc concentrate. In addition, EAFD is recycled to make high purity zinc oxide (IZO, grade 80%), which is used as raw material for rubber and ceramic products.
