Job Purpose
The Sales & Logistics Executive is responsible for developing new business opportunities, maintaining existing customer relationships, and coordinating logistics activities to ensure efficient cargo and container flows in line with the Company’s commercial and operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Business Development
- Identify and develop new customers within port, logistics, and shipping sectors.
- Maintain and strengthen long-term relationships with existing customers.
- Implement sales and marketing activities to achieve assigned volume targets.
- Meet with customers to ensure smooth execution of agreed commercial terms.
2. Pricing, Contract & Commercial Support
- Prepare tariffs and quotations in compliance with approved pricing frameworks and company policies.
- Support contract management and prepare documentation for negotiations when required.
- Ensure timely and accurate tariff updates in the system.
- Prepare basic commercial reports, volume analysis, and market/competitor information upon request.
3. Logistics Coordination
- Coordinate with internal departments (Operations, HSSE, Finance, etc.) to ensure smooth logistics and terminal operations.
- Provide logistics consultation to customers, promoting SSIT as a preferred port of call.
- Support the development and coordination of practical logistics solutions to optimize costs and operational efficiency.
- Assist in managing relationships with logistics service providers (barging, trucking companies) in coordination with the Procurement team.
4. Market Intelligence & Data Management
- Collect and update market and competitor information.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer databases.
- Proactively propose improvements to processes and working methods to enhance service quality and productivity.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain, or related fields.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in terminal operations, logistics, shipping, or related industries.
- Good understanding of port operations, regulations, and industry practices.
- Experience in quotation, contract support, reporting, and data analysis.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
