Olli is an AI startup building BuddyOS, the turnkey unified AI & Hardware platform, for toy companies to empower the next generation of AI toys, to bring their toys to life. Our mission is to help kids play, learn, and grow together with toys to avoid being over-reliant on phones, tablets, and computers. Key markets and customers are the US and EU.

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate needs to be a team player, possesses a can-do attitude, and has a strong understanding of relationship building with customers and partners. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with the founder and shape the company’s direction in a fast-growing startup.

Location: Xuan Hoa Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Key responsibilities

- Drive sales and grow client acquisition through strategic business development initiatives

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners

- Attend local and regional events to represent Olli and grow our network

- Analyze market trends in toys and smart devices to identify opportunities, risks, and competition

- Evaluate financial and sales performance to provide timely reports on partnership performance, pipeline, and revenue impact

- Conduct thorough due diligence, financial terms, and negotiation of partnership opportunities

- Prepare and present strategic updates and reports to the executive team and board of directors

- Play a key role in implementing significant strategic initiatives and special projects as required by senior management

Requirements

- Minimum 4 years of experience in business development and partnerships

- Exposure to western cultures (through study/work abroad)

- Is a team player

- Strong existing network of international partners (businesses in toys and smart devices are preferred)

- Fluency in English is a must

- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
