Senior C&S Engineer

The Senior C&S Engineer is responsible for leading and providing technical expertise in the design, analysis, and implementation of civil and structural engineering works. The role includes managing project coordination, ensuring compliance with international and local standards, and guiding C&S teams to deliver high-quality engineering design solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the design and analysis of civil and structural systems, including foundations, beams, columns, slabs, and retaining walls;

- Perform complex calculations and simulations using software such as ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, or equivalent;

- Review and endorse engineering drawings, specifications, reports, and tender documents;

- Ensure compliance with relevant local and international design codes and standards;

- Coordinate with other disciplines and external consultants for seamless design integration;

- Participate in client and consultant meetings, presenting technical solutions and recommendations;

- Identify risks, propose solutions, and ensure quality control throughout project stages;

- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers;

- Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes to continuously improve practices.

Minimum Education/Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university;

- Practicing License – Grade I in CS Engineering Design is a MUST.

Minimum Years/Type of Experience

- At least 8 years of relevant experience;

- Proven track record in participating in large-scale, complex projects across multiple sectors (e.g. healthcare, aviation, mixed-use, civic, etc.) is an advantage.

Language Proficiency

- English: Working proficiency (Intermediate +)

Technical Competencies

- Good proficiency in structural analysis and design software;

- Knowledge of BIM workflows, and collaborative platforms (BIM 360, ACC);

- Strong knowledge of design codes, standards, and authority submission requirements;

- Skilled in preparing design reports, technical specifications, construction documentation, and cost estimates;

- Ability to coordinate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams (Architecture, MEP, QS) and external consultants;

- In-depth knowledge of concrete, steel, and composite structures.
