Your role
The Senior Coordinator, Industry Engagement is responsible for developing and coordinating SCD (School of Communication & Design) industry engagement activities. The incumbent will lead and manage the Internship Coordinators, oversee internship progress and experience of current intern students across all programs in the school. The role provides exceptional relationship management skills to enhance the industry network and provide appropriate connections for the School’s internship programs.
Key accountabilities
Develop relationships with potential stakeholders and operate partnership agreements to enhance cooperation under the direction of the Dean of School.
Develop and maintain relationships with industry partners via company visits, Industry Advisory Committee (IAC) meetings, and other industry-engaging activities.
Coordinate with industry partners to find projects for Capstone and internship opportunities for students. Manage Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Agreement between RMIT Vietnam, companies & students for Capstone projects. Collaborate with Strategy & External Relations Office to co-organize other engagement events of the university.
Build industry-based research activities to enhance School Research Portfolio under the direction of the Dean of School. Collaborate with the Research Coordinator and oversee all research admin support activities.
Coordinate high-level administrative paperwork of strategic engagement projects e.g., formal proposals, briefing notes.
Develop and manage reports on key stakeholder management, development agency and industry engagement. Monitor and coordinate all action items from IAC meetings across all programs and make appropriate reports for the Dean and the School Leadership team.
Oversee internship progress and experience of current intern students across all programs in the school.
Liaise with the Academic team and University Career Department to ensure and enhance intern student experience.
Lead the development and execution of orientation sessions for students who enrolled in internship course.
Report and make recommendations to the School Leadership Team on a regular basis regarding the progress and outcomes of all industry engagement & internship activities.
Undertake other duties as directed by line manager.

Yêu Cầu Công Việc
Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as project management or business management.
Knowledge of the design and communication sector in Vietnam including market trends.
Demonstrated people management experience.
Exceptional relationship management experience with partner organizations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including negotiation, liaison, cross-cultural communication, and report writing skills.
Outstanding time management and meticulous organization skills.
Proven ability to work under pressure and respond to multiple changing priorities while demonstrating sound judgment and exercising prudent decision making.
Significant expertise and experience in the coordination of people and projects, and excellent management skills including the ability to plan and manage activities, to provide advice and to prioritise, monitor and evaluate work performance and flow.
Ability to display appropriate behaviours in line with the position, as per the RMIT Behavioural Capability Framework (Connectedness, Commitment to Excellence – Improve and Simplify, Imagination and Innovation, Impact, Inclusion, Agility).
English Proficiency
The minimum requirement is IELTS with a score of at least 6.0 or 160 in Linguaskills.
