Senior Data Decision Scientist (Techcom Life)

Job Purpose:

• Empowering self-service analytics: Build intuitive dashboards and manage scalable data models that help teams access and explore data independently.

• Solving business problems with insights: Apply analytical thinking to uncover patterns, trends, and root causes that drive business performance and customer value.

• Scaling intelligence with ML & AI: Leverage machine learning and AI to address unknown-unknowns, automate decision-making, and unlock new opportunities at scale.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Data Analytics & Visualization

• Design and maintain scalable data models and dashboards that empower business users to explore data and make informed decisions independently.

• Analyze complex datasets using scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python) to uncover trends, patterns, and performance drivers.

• Develop visualizations and reports that support data storytelling and enhance understanding of business-critical metrics.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define analytical needs and translate them into actionable data solutions.

2. Insight Generation & Business Problem Solving

• Lead deep-dive analyses to identify root causes, business opportunities, and performance gaps.

• Translate data into meaningful insights that inform strategic decisions and improve customer value and operational efficiency.

• Build and maintain statistical models for ongoing and ad hoc analysis to support performance management and business planning.

• Partner with cross-functional teams to frame business questions and deliver data-driven answers.

3. Scalable Intelligence with ML & AI

• Apply machine learning and AI techniques to solve complex, ambiguous problems—especially those involving unknown-unknowns.

• Develop and monitor models that automate decision-making and unlock new business capabilities.

• Evaluate and integrate new data sources and technologies to enhance model accuracy and relevance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Risk Management, Statistics, Mathematics or Quantitative Analysis.

Work Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience in areas of data science, data analysis, reporting và planning, problem solving for business.

• English proficiency requirements are pursuant to Techcombank's policy.

• Experience in querying databases and using programming languages (e.g., R, Python, Scala, SQL).

• Experience in building reporting with actionable intelligent (nên được sửa lại thành "actionable insights" hoặc "actionable intelligence").

• Experience communicating complex analysis and models across a diverse team.

• Experience in data management, ETL and analysis functions.

• Experience with data analysis and BI tools such as Tableau, QlikView, Spark would be a plus.

• Deep understanding of Information Security principles to ensure compliant handling and management of data.

• Strong understanding of Agile principles, practices and scrum methodology.

• Experience working in Agile teams to support digital transformation projects.
