Senior Design Engineer Rracks Vietnam

THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Senior Engineer and Engineering Team manager working at home and from our office in HCMC, Vietnam, you will be working with our team of engineers in around the world to shape the next generation of RRACKS solar panels mounting products. You will use your creativity and and engineering experience to create solutions that allow our customers to take their solar projects on a smarter path to profitability.

DESCRIPTION

As a Senior Engineer, you will be charged with managing the Junior Engineering Team, developing the RRACKS brand product range as well as assisting the sales teams around the world in their technical queries.

RESPONSIBILITIES

● Gathering drawings and specifications, calculating material and equipment requirements and setting up production methods.

● Organise workload with the rest of the engineering team

● Train and develop the skills of the Junior engineering team

● Convert designs and requirements into technical plans and subsequently into real life innovative products for our market segment.

● Liaise with engineering team, sales staff, Management and manufacturers to gather product and structural requirements and designs.

● Liaise between English speaking management and clients and local staff

● Calculate dimensions, weight limitations and requirements in materials and being able to interpret and document production methods step-by-step (including equipment and software types to be used) where applicable

● Assist in the development of robust internal processes and procedures to ensure we have a streamlined and cost-effective business model

● Create detailed designs with computer-aided design (CAD) software

● Design diagrams, maps and layouts to illustrate workflow

● Prepare and review rough sketches and review them along with the engineering team

● Identify potential operational issues and redesign products to improve functionality

● Ensure final designs comply with regulations and quality standards

● Create manuals that describe existing products’ operation, features and maintenance

● Engage with external stakeholders such as manufacturers to ensure that raw materials and capacity plans match our requirements for deadlines of orders.

● Any other duties as required to carry out the role efficiently and effectively

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering, mechanical design specialty

REQUIRED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

● 3D modelling (CAD and Solidworks)

● Proactive

● Project and Time Management.

● Fluent written and oral communications skills in English (TOEIC 850+ IELTS 8+ or equivalent). Spoken and Written

● Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

● Proficiency with AutoCAD software.

● Outstanding skill in troubleshooting and problem solving on projects.

EXPERIENCE

● 10 years working experience in mechanical design

● 5-6 years working experience in a multinational company
