Senior Executive, CSA QS

The CSA Quantity Surveyor is responsible for accurately estimating and managing costs for civil, structural, and architectural projects. This role involves quantity take-offs from design drawings, contract management, and supervising construction progress to ensure quality and compliance with technical standards. The CSA Quantity Surveyor also tracks and controls project expenses, processes payments, and prepares financial reports, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Effective change management and clear communication with stakeholders are also key aspects of this position.

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Cost Estimation:

- Calculate and estimate costs for civil, structural, and architectural works.

- Prepare cost estimates and budgets for CSA projects.

2. Quantity Take-off:

- Measure and quantify work items from design drawings.

- Ensure accurate and comprehensive quantity take-offs.

3. Contract Management:

- Draft, review, and manage contracts related to civil, structural, and architectural works.

- Monitor contract execution and ensure compliance with terms.

4. Cost Management and Payment:

- Track and control project costs.

- Process payments for contractors and suppliers.

- Verify the work done & price assessment on claims of vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, etc.).

5. Analysis and Reporting:

- Analyze costs and prepare financial reports related to CSA projects.

- Report progress and cost to management.

6. Change Management:

- Identify and manage changes in design and construction.

- Assess the impact of changes on project costs and schedule.

Qualifications & Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Economics, Construction Engineering, or related fields.

• Relevant certifications in QS is a plus.

• 3-5 years of experience in a QS CSA role or similar positions.

• Experience in construction projects involving civil, structural, and architectural components is preferred.

• Solid understanding of standards and regulations in civil, structural, and architectural construction.

• Knowledge of construction project management procedures and processes.

• Ability to work on oversea projects (Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, etc.).

• Good command of English for communication and technical purposes.
