Senior Finance Analyst (Wind Farm, Solar, Industrial Power Plant)

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are on the lookout for an experienced and meticulous Senior Finance Analyst to strengthen our Finance & Investment division. This role is vital in assessing projects, analyzing investments, structuring financial deals, and overseeing financial management for utility-scale renewable energy developments. You will focus on building and maintaining complex financial models, analyzing capital and operating expenses, and facilitating project financing from initial development through to financial close and ongoing operations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Financial Modeling & Strategic Analysis

• Design and update advanced financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-term business planning.

• Conduct detailed financial evaluations for new initiatives, investments, M&A transactions, and strategic proposals.

• Develop scenario and sensitivity analyses to measure the effects of different financial and operational variables.

2. Cross-Team Coordination & Data Insights

• Work closely with departments like commercial, project management, and operations to collect inputs for financial analysis.

• Track and analyze CAPEX and OPEX, propose cost optimization strategies, and review bids from contractors and consultants.

3. Investment Analysis & Financial Oversight

• Draft investment reports, business cases, and presentations for internal committees and board meetings.

• Track and report on financial KPIs, offering insights into company performance and financial health.

• Assist in negotiating financing terms and working with banks and external partners on funding arrangements.

4. Financial Benchmarking & Regulatory Compliance

• Compare key financial indicators across projects, updating models to reflect market trends and project milestones.

• Maintain adherence to accounting standards and internal controls.

• Deliver ad-hoc financial analyses to support management’s strategic decisions and planning processes.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Advanced certifications such as an MBA or CFA are a significant advantage.

Professional Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in financial modeling, investment appraisal, or project finance—preferably within renewable energy or infrastructure for very high value analysis like Electric Power Plant, Wind, Solar with big investment.

• Solid track record working alongside lenders, legal advisors, and technical consultants on complex financing deals.

• Prior involvement with offshore wind projects or large-scale renewables is highly desirable.

Skill Set:

• In-depth knowledge of funding structures (debt, equity, mezzanine) and investment risk frameworks.

• Strong familiarity with CAPEX and OPEX budgeting in energy/infrastructure contexts.

• Highly skilled in Excel-based modeling; experience with VBA, Python, or risk analysis software like RISK is a bonus.

• Proficient in data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau for enhanced reporting and analytics.

• Fluent communication skills in both Vietnamese and English, written and verbal.
