Senior IT Specialist

Scope of Position:

• Provides effective IT support across all aspects of the Gentherm Hanam plant.

• Responsible for supporting IT Team Leader, IT global administrator, Regional IT manager and maintaining overall IT infrastructure environment not only Hanam but also other sites in Asia.

•The position provides exposure to a broad range of IT-related projects and activities

Responsibilities:

• Be aware of updates in IT infrastructure design. Helps in production evaluation.

• RFQ for hardware and software as required by the infrastructure projects/oprations.

• Perform vendor comparism and rating and recommends to manager.

• Assist and lead sub IT infrastructure projects.

• Channel users' feedback for potential future development.

• Explains and enforces security measures and policy in place.

• Understands security measurement in all aspects of business sytem.

• Prepare and update company IT infrstructure documents

• Explains and enforces Policy, User guide, measures and policy in place.

• Ensure operational availability of servers & network infrastructure at agreed time period.

• Perform regular maintenance of all hardware, including servers, desktops, laptops, firewall, switch, printer in Hanam plant.

• Monitor and perform regular updates of all software, including OS, MS Office, Symantec, etc for end users.

• Provide helpdesk support in troubleshooting and resolving of server, PC and network issues to end users of Hanam plant On call, after hours support will be required as needed.

• Monitor IT operations including PC, Network system, software evaluation, user training as well as program implementation.

• Report on IT infrastructure performance metrics.

• Prepare and update company IT reports.

• Provide software training to end-users.

• Installation and configuration of software on end user's PC and Laptop.

• Collect and channel users' feedback to IT management as IT's first point of contact .

• Submit Purchase Request, Claims on all IT related expenses.

• Submit IA prior to all IT software hardware purchase.

• Maintain Fixed Assets Registery for all IT Infrastructure Hardware, Softwares.

• Submit payment request.

• Creates and submits necessary paper work for administration purpose.

Experience: 2 years in related job

Competencies:

• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office

• Server maintenance skills

• Technical knowledge in PC, accessories maintenance, troubleshooting, MS Office Suite and other common desktop applications

• Exposure in SANs, Virtual Infrastructures, power, cooling, cabling, and network

• Work under stress: to be able to continue to perform and deliver within short deadline and challenging situation

• Leadership: to lead teams in projects with ease

• Team player: to contribute and support teammates whenever necessary

• Initiative: to think on the feet and do not hesitate to get things done even if without instruction

• Proficient in English (listening, speaking, writing)

Education: University Degree (or equivalent) in Information Technology
