Senior Java Developer (Spring)

As a Java Developer at Endava, you will work in a professional and cross-functional team for payment gateway services. You'll be involved in the full development lifecycle of a software system. Contribute to delivering new products to the market by meeting customer's requirements and product development programs. Be an integral part of a Scrum team and contribute to Agile processes.

Responsibilities:

- Designs, estimates, and implements technical solutions for medium/high complexity applications.

- Participates actively in all phases of application development lifecycle.

- Collaborates with various project stakeholders to provide support for clarifying requirements, processes, architecture, and priorities.

- Recommends and promotes IT industry standards, tools, practices (DevOps, etc.) to achieve well-engineered software products.

- Proposes improvements and escalates risks/issues related to development activities.

- Participates in the review of the work done by development team members.

- Learns and applies new technologies, practices, and tools as appropriate to the project.

- Participates in internal and external tech communities, events.

- Shares experience and knowledge gained from projects.

- 4+ years of experience in software development.

- Proficiency in Java and tools such as IntelliJ IDEA, Spring, Hibernate, Maven/Gradle.

- Understanding of OOP, functional programming, and clean code principles (SOLID, GoF, MVVM).

- Practical experience in platform-specific database systems and SQL.

- Understanding of Git or similar version control systems.

- Basic knowledge with CI/CD tools and Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)

- Experience with testing and mocking frameworks.

- Familiar with communication protocols such as HTTP, REST, JSON, TCP/IP.

- Good problem-solving skills, teamwork, communication abilities and analytical thinking.

- Intermediate English proficiency.
