Senior Lead - Apparel & Accessories Costing

As Senior Lead - Apparel & Accessories Costing, you are part of the costing team in Vietnam and manage Apparel & Accessories costing, including cost forecasting, pre-cost analysis, and seasonal price negotiations. You will drive cost saving opportunities to maximize company margins, resolve issues during execution, and establish valuable costing SOPs. You will work closely and cross-functionally with development, material, finance, production and supply chain teams.

Purpose:

• Supporting Head of Costing and in particular, adhering to the strategic direction of brand costing, optimize product cost for apparel and accessories.

• Maximize margin opportunity through the leveraging of key levers by implementing cost standardization. and strengthen the costing framework.

• Functional lead and provide the direction to the cross -functional teams on cost- focused and margin opportunities while maintaining dependable cost governance in the meantime.

• Strongly co-ordinate and facilitate all cost - related topics internally within costing team and externally with other functions.

Your Mission:

• Costing direction: Supporting the Head of Costing in defining Apparel & Accessories Costing direction and strategy, drive and communicate costing objectives throughout the organization and ensuring the implmenting and execution in place

• Communication: Provide insights and recommendations on costing, as well as the costing strategy and principles, and represent the costing function in the divisional organization and sourcing stategry.

• Cost optimization: Creating a cross-functional training program to enhance cost consciousness and support creation teams in maximizing product costs through the application of costing strategy

• Profitability: Actively contribute to margin maximization, through key levers such as costing standardization, costing engineering, costing framework, pattern efficiency and any other profitability related initiatives with the aim to deliver product value while improving company profitability.

• Processes & Systems: Be the part of system & process enhancement to drive costing automation and the process's efficiency and effectiveness.

• Governance: Act as a gatekeeper to ensure that all costing frameworks & standards, processes & policies and costing system & tools are understood and correctly applied consistently throughout organization.

• Knowledge: Uplift costing teams’ knowledge on costing through regular systematic, customized training and coaching sessions, and via insights into cost driver developments and available analytical reporting.

• 10 years+ of apparel business experience, technical training in apparel engineering and product development/costing or production

• Excellent commercial sense and very analytical mindset

• Proficiency in Excel; experience with PLMs and digital costing tools is a plus

• Strong price negotiation skills and impeccable integrity

• Critical thinking and be able to challenge status quote and drive Costing project in the collaborative way.

• Be able to motivate/ guide team to reach individual and team goals

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a fast-paced, cross-cultural, and cross-functional environment

• Fluent in English spoken and written
