The Senior Manager, Human Resources at Sun Life Vietnam plays a crucial role in fostering organizational excellence through comprehensive talent management and cultural initiatives. This position is responsible for designing and implementing strategic programs that enhance employee capabilities, streamline HR processes, and nurture a high-performance culture aligned with business objectives.
Major Accountabilities:
1. Implement the Talent Development Solutions:
• Design and develop comprehensive programs for enhancing capabilities of people leaders and top talents
• Create and implement Digital Leadership capability building initiatives
• Develop and manage assessment tools and platforms for talent development
• Design personalized leadership development programs for high potential talents
• Collaborate with Corporate and Regional Talent teams to align and promote best practices
2. Enhance HR Processes, Systems and Organizational Design
• Diagnose business needs and design programs to address organizational capability gaps
• Develop and refine HR policies and procedures to ensure best practices and regulatory compliance
• Design and optimize organizational structures to align with business strategies
• Implement and maintain optimal organizational structures, including span of control analysis
• Develop and update comprehensive job descriptions to ensure clarity in roles and responsibilities
• Review and refine policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness
3. Culture Assessment & Alignment:
• Conduct regular culture assessments to identify areas of strength and improvement
• Develop and execute initiatives to reinforce desired cultural behaviors across the organization
• Collaborate with leadership to ensure cultural alignment with business objectives and values
4. Performance Management:
• Implement performance evaluation tools and processes
• Support managers to have effective goal-setting, performance feedback, and development planning
• Analyze performance data to provide insights on organizational effectiveness and recommend improvements

Specialized knowledge:
• In-depth understanding of HR practices in talent management, leadership development, and organizational design
• Strong ability to analyze complex data and provide strategic insights
• Expertise in assessment tools and talent development methodologies
• Proficiency in designing and delivering engaging training programs
• Advanced knowledge of regulatory and legal environment in HR
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Experience with survey design and analytics platforms
Problem solving:
• Ability to diagnose complex organizational issues and design effective solutions
• Skill in managing multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously
• Capability to adapt strategies to changing business needs and market conditions
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to address multifaceted HR challenges
Education and experience:
• University degree in Business, Psychology, or related field; advanced degree preferred
• 8-10 years of experience in talent management or leadership development
• Proven track record in designing and implementing successful talent development programs
• Experience in managing organizational change initiatives
• Fluency in English (all skills)
• Certification in psychometric assessment from a recognized organization
• Knowledge of digital talent development and transformation strategies
Communication:
• Regularly advise middle to senior management on talent strategies
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
• Collaborate effectively with Regional and Corporate Office counterparts
• Manage relationships with external vendors and consultants for talent solutions
• Present complex ideas and strategies to diverse audiences, including executive leadership
