Senior Mechanical Engineer

2. Job Background

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Vietnam engineering team in Da Nang. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing enclosures, chassis, and precision mechanical systems that integrate seamlessly with advanced electronic assemblies. You will collaborate closely with both Vietnamese and American colleagues including senior mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, and research scientists to deliver cohesive, high-performance designs.

3. Key Responsibilities

• Use SolidWorks to design enclosures, detector chassis, and complex instrumentation

• Collaborate with senior engineers (mechanical and electrical) to produce cohesive, integrated systems

• Translate research requirements into manufacturable mechanical solutions

• Participate in the invention process, contributing to patents and new concept development

• Independently research new scientific fields relevant to Pyramid’s projects

• Balance aesthetics, function, cost, and manufacturability in design decisions

• Work with both Vietnamese and U.S. teams to ensure seamless communication and project execution

• Hardworking, honest, friendly, and responsible in the workplace

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field

• Strong proficiency with SolidWorks

• 5+ years of experience in product design, mechanical systems, or instrumentation

• Proven ability to work independently, self-motivate, and solve complex problems with minimal direction

• Strong creativity and attention to both practicality and aesthetics

• Conversational English skills (fluency preferred)

Preferred

• Experience in radiation therapy, medical devices, semiconductor equipment, aerospace, magnetics, automotive, or other high-science or engineering industries

• Track record of working on interdisciplinary engineering projects

• Experience contributing to intellectual property (patents, novel designs)
