Senior R&D Specialist (Confectionery)

Develop New Product:
1) Do Market survey to get ideas from Market product, Customers. Discuss with MKT and Manager to build ideas and direction prototype. Cooperate with MKT team to evaluate Prototype sample quality and set up next plan (improve more or do customer survey)
2) Work on Lab to set up Prototype product. Set up final recipe and calculate Ingredients cost, product cost. Check Product quality in shelf-life period (in Market condition, in extreme condition)
3) Make and send Ingredient list (information, amount) to Purchasing to order. Estimate Production process, production parameter and capacity
4) Work with related department to set up the plan for Trial test in factory and launching time. Do trial test product in factory.
5) Do final Customer survey with factory product to check Customer opinions.
6) Training and transfer Product Standard to production team
Research and Improve Product quality:
1) Find out issue to improve: Replace ingredient to cost down or Halal cert or short supply / Replace ingredient to improve product texture, taste or flavor / Modify Process condition to improve product shape, texture
2) Work on Lab to check effect of new ingredient to product quality: Discuss with team member to set up Recipe / Work with team member to apply ingredient to product in Lab / Do Sensory Lab sample and make plan for next test (improve ingredient quality by maker or change recipe)
3) Discuss with Manager, MKT to evaluate Test sample quality and set up next plan (improve more or do customer survey). Arrange and support team member, Marketing team to do Customers Survey (OMT, CLT, FGD)
4) Test new ingredient into product in factory or Test to improve process. Make draft to approve New ingredient, modified process for product and send to related team. Make and send Ingredient list (information, amount) to Purchasing to order
5) Update Product Standard process, ingredient list for Production team. Check New ingredient quality periodically after applying
6) Check product quality periodically after apply new ingredient, modified process to make sure product quality stable
Duplicate raw material & submaterial
1) Searching new supplier, depend on quality and cost
2) Duplicate raw material, parallel supplier to cost down
Other task
1) Prepare the new raw material documents, send to QA department and related department
2) Make the packaging inscription, send to QA department and MKT department
3) Double check the label together with QA, MKT team
4) Conduct literature search independently, analyze information, summarize findings and recommend next steps with guidance.
5) Do other jobs follow manager request
Yêu cầu công việc
- Have 7~10 years of experience working in similar role in Food Company. Fluent in English.
- Relevant degree from recognized tertiary institution majoring in Food Science and Chemical Engineering
- Computer skills: Excel, Power Point, Word proficiently
- Responsibility, Careful, self-motivated
- Ability to work under pressure
