Service Engineer

Job Purpose:

The Service Engineer is responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting,

and repair of the company's equipment and machinery at customer sites. The role ensures maximum

customer satisfaction by providing timely and efficient technical support and after-sales service.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Installation & Commissioning:

• Install and set up equipment/machinery at customer sites according to manufacturer specifications.

• Perform testing and validation to ensure operational efficiency.

2. Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

• Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance.

• Diagnose and repair technical issues, minimizing equipment downtime.

3. Customer Support:

• Provide technical support and training to customers on equipment use and maintenance.

• Respond promptly to customer service requests via phone, email, or on-site visits.

4. Documentation & Reporting:

• Prepare detailed service reports, checklists, and documentation for each service activity.

• Maintain accurate records of customer issues and service history.

5. Internal Coordination:

• Communicate effectively with the sales team, engineering department, and logistics to coordinate service schedules and spare parts.

6. Compliance & Safety:

• Follow company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements during all service activities.

• Ensure all work is completed with proper documentation and in compliance with equipment warranties.

Qualifications:

• Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related Engineering field.

• Preferred: Experience in factory maintenance

• 1–5 years of experience in equipment servicing, preferably in [industry – e.g., food processing, packaging, automation].

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, PLCs, electrical circuits, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.

• Ability to read technical manuals, engineering drawings, and wiring diagrams.
