Shop Director - Global Manufacturing (5 Positions - Working In Haiphong/ Willing to Relocate Overseas)

* Responsible for leading the overall performance and activities of a specific manufacturing shop’s within VinFast global factories (Vietnam, US, India, Indonesia) through direct reports and, by extension, with all other functions. Establish excellent relationships with all functional leaders and external (3rd party) leaders involved in the vehicle and equipment design, development, launch and manufacture.

* Manufacturing responsibilities include all aspects of the business in the areas of safety, people, quality, responsiveness and cost. Ultimately responsible for the establishment and achievement of a shop’s budget and performance goals.

* Develop business plans which deliver year-on-year performance efficiencies through a Continuous Improvement culture.

* Develop and provide leadership for a high-performance team while enhancing organisational capability.

* Lead and support all activities to ensure overall business objectives and targets are met or exceeded.

* Lead and support production launch activities to ensure a quality and competitive start-up.

* Drive a right first time approach and foster a continuous improvement culture through the effective execution of lean manufacturing and quality systems.

* Ensure risk reduction tools are used to identify and eliminate high risk activities.

* Ensure that all programs meet the three measures of a successful vehicle launch: on time, excellent quality and meeting and/or exceeding program financial targets.

* Select, develop and train Manufacturing team members to effectively execute operations to achieve business goals and targets.

* Effectively train, coach and support team members in problem solving and resolution activities.

* Establish people development as a core value to develop future leaders and grow organisational capability.

* Empower and support teams to improve their work environment and eliminate any constraints.

* Support strategies to increase production at minimum cost and reduce structural cost activities.

* Demonstrated successful leadership of direct organizations and teams.

* Good common-sense business insight and experience with the development and implementation of business strategies.

* Strong problem solving skills and the ability to grasp and effectively use technical concepts and technical information.

* Highly motivated, self-starter, and active learner with strong interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to perform successfully in multi-national relationships.

* 10+ years’ experience in high volume manufacturing, preferably the automotive industry.

* Automotive industry knowledge or automotive mechanical knowledge is essential.

* Experienced in Lean Manufacturing systems and Operational Excellence.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).

* Education: Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in Engineering or Business at a minimum

* Willing to work in Haiphong and/or relocating to overseas
