Signal Integrity Engineer (High-Speed Cables)

Since 2007, Molex Vietnam has operated its first factory in Thang Long I IP. We are now expanding with a new high-tech facility in Thang Long II IP, Hung Yen, backed by a $145 million investment and spanning 100,000 m². This site will manufacture advanced products including high-speed connectors, cables, and optical devices.

About the Role

Join Molex’s cutting-edge Product Development team as a Signal Integrity Engineer, where you’ll play a key role in designing and optimizing high-speed interconnect solutions. You’ll work with global teams and customers to ensure signal performance meets the demands of next-generation data communication systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct finite element simulations for electro-mechanical interconnects.

• Develop mathematical models for electrical and mechanical parameters.

• Characterize high-speed connectors and systems using digital testing and electromagnetic modeling.

• Create and implement electrical test procedures, specifications, and fixtures.

• Design characterization and verification boards; collaborate with PCB design vendors.

• Perform empirical and analytical testing based on design inputs.

• Prepare evaluation reports and presentations for internal and customer use.

• Provide technical guidance to Sales, Marketing, and customers on signal integrity.

• Stay current with industry trends and share insights with the team.

• Lead R&D initiatives in advanced electrical design technologies.

• Develop mitigation strategies for EMI, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and CFD in interconnect systems.

Qualifications

Education

• Required: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

• Preferred: Master’s in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Physics.

Experience

• Required: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.

• Preferred:

o Experience designing high-speed electrical interconnects.

o Proficiency with CAD/CAE tools (e.g., HFSS, CST, Sigrity, ADS, Cadence).

o Skilled in correlating simulation results with lab measurements using oscilloscopes, TDRs, VNAs.

o Ability to script and automate analysis workflows.

Skills

• Required: Strong understanding of electromagnetics.

• Preferred: Experience in EMI, thermal analysis, and fluid mechanics is a plus.
