Software Engineer - New Grad Position

Founded in 2018, Ace Mentorship has built a network of 100+ mentors and professionals who are currently studying or working at top universities and global companies around the world. We have supported hundreds of Vietnamese students on their journey to study abroad and build international careers in the U.S. and Canada.

Our mentees have been admitted to top universities such as Harvard, Cornell, and Duke University, and have landed positions at leading global companies like Google, Amazon, Deloitte, and Goldman Sachs.

The Ace Mentorship Engineering team is looking for Software Engineers to help build core features of a product designed to facilitate and enhance the mentoring experience.

What you will be doing

- Design, build, and maintain a web application that powers our platform.

- Implement features that improve the experience for users

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, design, and operations) to understand user needs and translate them into technical solutions.

- Support core engineering tasks such as code reviews, testing, debugging, and documentation.

- Continuously improve performance, security, and scalability of our systems.

Minimum requirements

- Interested in developing web application systems, front-end and back-end

- Willing to learn new programming languages, new technologies if necessary.

- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or post secondary education or equivalent with a focus on Software engineering or technical related fields.

- Experience in object oriented design and analysis skills coupled with an understanding of data structures and algorithms.

- Experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs.

- Experience in working with database systems such as MySql, MsSql or similar.

- Experience in working with Java, Javascript, or similar.

- Conversational in speaking and writing English.

- This is a full time position

Preferred requirements

- Experience in web application developing, using React, React framework, Spring framework, and Google Cloud.

- Experience in debugging, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.

- Experience in writing effective unit and integration tests
