Sourcing and Design Engineering Analyst

**POSITION SUMMARY The Sourcing and Design Engineering Analyst is a new position created for the purpose of quoting, negotiating, sourcing, and developing AZEK Products to support the Sourcing, Supplier Quality, and Product Management efforts, working closely with the Quality, Procurement, Product and Supply Chain teams. This position will be responsible for RFP management, Part Design and Modeling, Supplier Quality Management for purchased finished goods as well as raw materials sourced domestically and internationally. **Reasonable Accommodations Statement To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. **Essential Functions Statement(s) • Be able to design and develop CAD and 2d drawings with GD&T for key products in existence or for new products. All designs to be reviewed by AZEK R&D and Engineering teams, and Supply Chain teams. • Develop protocols and procedures as well as lead testing to comply with appropriate testing standards and ability to conduct DFMEA • Conduct on-site management of process optimization projects at key suppliers • Liaison for design changes with AZEK team members, including VAVE and quality activities • Liaison for troubleshooting of packaging materials at key AZEK OEM suppliers • Work directly with Marketing and Product Management on the artwork design of packaging materials • Conduct global market research to identify potential new suppliers and products with the goal of identifying new and redundant sources of supply based on competitiveness, capability and business needs. • Conduct supplier survey and scorecard measurement process with key suppliers – driving continuous improvement and project savings opportunities. • Complete Strategic Sourcing Events for assigned commodities and services focusing on Total Cost. Includes but not limited to negotiating price, lead time, Payment Terms, Rebates and delivery. • Monitor purchases to ensure commitments are made and rebates are maximized. Identify and take advantage of spot buy opportunities as needed. • Conduct supplier survey and scorecard measurement process with key suppliers – driving continuous improvement and project savings opportunities. • Comply with all SOX requirements and approved processes and procedures. • Work with Procurement/R&D/Quality/Suppliers [as appropriate] to establish documented quality requirements/specs for purchased finished goods and raw materials. • Support new product launches and effectively lead and interact with cross-functional teams. • Strong project management skills required. • Must be able to travel internationally. • Experience with steel, plastic, and aluminum preferred.

**POSITION QUALIFICATIONS - Education: +Mechanical Engineering degree (four-year college or technical school): Preferred +Business coursework: Desirable - Experience: 3 plus years in design engineering roles, 2 plus years with purchasing or quality experience - Computer Skills:JDE, Solidworks, Minitab, MS Office Suite, Database skills - Certifications and Licenses:CSCP, CQE, Six Sigma Certifications: Preferred - Other preferred Requirements: +Experience/knowledge of Quality systems such as ISO, IATF, Six Sigma, TQ, PDSA +Experience / knowledge of Injection Molding and Mold design, Stamping, and Extrusion
