Sourcing Merchandiser (Hardgoods)

• Source potential suppliers and develop existing suppliers based on REWE standards and requirements.

• Identify and develop new product ranges in accordance with market research, industry trends and sales performance.

• Proactively propose new products and initiate sourcing projects, in corporate with buyers and corresponding merchandising leads to enhance business turnover.

• Ensure suppliers have a good understanding of REWE requirements, product specifications and the required quality level.

• Coordinate with different internal departments (Merchandising, Quality and CR, etc.) along the critical order path, proactively identify and report risks related to quality and late shipments.

• Work closely with the teams to ensure accurate and timely recording of orders in the systems.

• Degree holder in Business Administration, International Trade or equivalent.

• At least 3 years of relevant experience, preferable in European buying offices.

• Hands-on experience in dealing with factories, production and manufacturing processes.

• Familiar with European market and quality standards and requirements.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of the team in a cross-cultural environment.

• Solution-oriented, attention to details, and always striving for customer success and excellent service.

• Mature personality with a high level of independence and integrity.

• Proficient in both spoken and written English.

• Proficient in MS Office applications (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

• Flexible with business trips.
