Sourcing Officer

1. Sourcing Strategy Execution:

• Initiate and execute sourcing requirements for indirect materials, ensuring alignment with divisional and plant needs

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies that meet organizational objectives and optimize procurement processes

2. Cost Management:

• Lead cost-saving initiatives by identifying opportunities to reduce the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) across sourcing categories.

• Analyze cost structures and negotiate favorable terms with suppliers to achieve cost efficiency.

3. Supplier Management:

• Conduct thorough assessments and audits of potential new suppliers, evaluating their capabilities and fit with organizational standards

• Recommend and onboard new suppliers, ensuring compliance with company policies and quality requirements

• Maintain strong supplier relationships and address discrepancies related to new source materials

4. Collaboration and Support:

• Collaborate with internal teams to understand their purchasing needs and provide sourcing solutions that support organizational goals

5. Data Analysis and Spend Management:

• Analyze buying patterns and supplier performance to consolidate and manage spend on direct suppliers effectively

• Utilize data-driven insights to identify opportunities for consolidation and spend optimization

6. Supplier Performance Evaluation:

• Manage the annual supplier scorecard process, evaluating supplier performance and driving improvements in quality and delivery

• Develop performance metrics and work with suppliers to address any areas of concern

7. Process Improvement:

• Continuously seek opportunities to enhance the sourcing process, identifying and implementing best practices.

• Support initiatives aimed at streamlining procurement activities and improving overall efficiency

• Bachelor's degree in Economics/Finance/Supply Chain Management.

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.

• Strong knowledge and skills in manufacturing processes, procurement, and sourcing processes.

• Ability to create and implement procedures, processes, standards, and instructions.

• Understanding of international and local laws governing procurement and sourcing.

• Proficiency in English (both oral and written).

• Competency in work planning, problem-solving, training, coaching, leadership, and managerial skills.

• Familiarity with Kaizen and innovation methodologies.

• Ability to understand and implement requirements related to ISOs, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA).
